he 2008 Portrait Institute Members' Lecture was presented to a capacity audience at New York's venerable Salmagundi Art Club on Friday evening, January 25. "Sargent/Sorolla: Studies in Greatness" traced the parallel careers of two giants of Impressionist painting. Institute members came from places as distant and diverse as Klagenfurt, Austria, the Dominican Republic, Boston, Massachusetts, and Memphis, Tennessee.
